Job summary

Brose North America Inc. seeks a skilled Production Planner to create and maintain a master production schedule aligned with demand and capacity. You will lead the S&OP process and coordinate material availability to support production targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
  • APICS training/certification recommended.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience within an automotive environment.
  • Extensive experience with SAP across all modules.
  • Specialized knowledge of production planning systems (SAP-P01; SAP SCP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a master production schedule that aligns with customer demand and production capacity.
  • Develop and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP).
  • Analyze customer orders, production capabilities, and inventory levels to develop an efficient schedule.
  • Coordinate material availability and manage inventory to meet operational requirements.
  • Work with production teams to execute the master production schedule and resolve conflicts.
  • Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks affecting scheduling.
  • Manage buffers to ensure material availability for contractual volumes.
  • Identify improvements to reduce costs and optimize production schedules.
  • Prepare reports and communicate production performance to management and teams.
  • Lead the design and implementation blueprints for system development on new projects.

Your Tasks
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a master production schedule that aligns with customer demand and production capacity.
  • Develop and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP).
  • Responsible for creating a master production schedule that aligns with customer demand and production capacity (labor/machine). This involves analyzing customer orders, production capabilities, and inventory levels to develop a schedule that optimizes production efficiency.
  • Responsible for material planning activities, including inventory management, demand planning, production scheduling support, and coordination of material availability to meet operational requirements.
  • Works closely with production teams to ensure that the master production schedule is executed according to plan. Communicate effectively with production teams, resolve scheduling conflicts, and adjust the master production schedule as necessary based on constraints.
  • Analyzing production capacity and have a deep understanding of production capabilities and capacity. Analyze production data and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints that could impact the master production schedule.
  • Manage inventory levels/buffers to ensure that the necessary materials are available to support production. This involves working closely with the production and customer teams to be in line with contractual volumes.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Optimizing production schedules while working closely with the logistics and production teams.
  • Responsible for analyzing production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate production performance to management. Cascading relevant information to production teams to align on labor and shift models.
  • Lead the design and implementation blueprints for system development on new projects.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
  • APICS training/certification recommended.
  • Professional Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience within an automotive environment.
  • Extensive experience with the use of SAP across all modules.
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems (SAP-P01; SAP SCP).
