Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works in Wyoming, DE is seeking an outdoor-focused Maintenance Technician to join our stormwater management team. You will mow, trim, load equipment, and help maintain lakes and ponds while collaborating with the Operations team to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of pond maintenance experience, is able to lift up to 80 pounds, and works well in varied weather conditions. We offer year-round, full-time work with benefits and growth opportunities.

• Mow, weed-eat, and trim slopes and basins.
• Load/unload heavy equipment and planting materials.
• Schedule daily workloads and coordinate materials.

$20- $25 an hour- Full-time

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, or erosion control.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds on a routine basis.
• Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
• Ability to work on slopes, near water, and in various weather conditions.
• Results-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Must comply with Dragonfly's policies and procedures.
• Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences, including but not limited to the Operations Team, subcontractors, vendors, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Operations Manager
• Manage the maintenance of lakes and ponds, & other Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs).
• Mowing, weed-eating, and string trimming slopes and basins of ponds
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Schedule and monitor daily workloads
• Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
• Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
• Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
• Safe driving of company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
• Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors.

Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment:

• Mowers - Stand on, walk behind, Ventrac.
• Edgers, string trimmers and chain saws
• Backpack blowers and sprayers
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.
