Job Summary
Provides logistical services at Augusta University, working closely with Asset Management. Moves furniture, equipment, supplies to and from departments and transports goods for all business units.
Responsibilities
- Moving Services: Processes moving requests daily as scheduled. Notifies Moving Events Coordinator of any delays. Notate and sign any changes in logistics documentation. Ensure documentation for all activity is complete, accurate, and submitted daily to EVS Manager. Operate all moving motor vehicle and equipment in a safe manner. Report any equipment accidents or problems to supervising authority.
- EVS Support: Assist with special projects such as power washing, window washing. Other duties as assigned.
- Warehouse Operations: Assist with warehouse operations as requested to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Provide logistical services between warehouse locations and use departments. Deliver janitorial supplies between all campuses.
- Special Event Support: Provide delivery, pickup, and storage of event support materials. Assist with routine inventory of tables, chairs and other items as needed. Document requests and notify supervisor of any missing equipment, tables and chairs. Coordinate requests with customers.
- Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from a recognized state or federal accredited organization.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Materials management, warehouse and logistical experience is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Abilities: Provide excellent customer service and achieve department and organization goals. Drive large moving trucks, vans and pickup trucks.
- Knowledge: General knowledge of asset management and materials management.
- Skills: Use forklift, pallet jacks, carts; furniture and equipment moving skills.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
Shift / Salary / Benefits
- Shift: Days, Monday–Friday.
- Pay Band: 1.
- Salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range.

Conditions of Employment
- All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a background check.
- Credit check may be required for positions of trust or authorized purchase card usage.
- Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that require driving a university vehicle.
- Faculty hires must provide proof of completed academic degrees or post‑secondary coursework and, if foreign, credential evaluation.
