Job summary

SERVPRO Team Shaw is seeking a Moving and Packing Project Manager to supervise a field team and oversee contents handling as part of fire and water damage restoration projects.

You will coordinate with insureds, adjusters, and subcontractors to manage jobs from start to finish while ensuring safety, quality, and timely communication. A valid driver’s license and 2–3 years in moving are required; overtime and on-call work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years moving or related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, strong leadership and communication.
• On-call rotation, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team and assist with packing, cleaning, vaulting, wrapping, staging, and packing of contents.
• Communicate with insureds on job sites.
• Lead a project from start to finish, coordinating with adjusters and subcontractors.
• Ensure procedures and safety protocols are followed on active jobs and in the warehouse.
• Operate iCat inventory software on company devices.
• Update Proven Jobs Desktop and Mobile with progress and notes.
• Package contents securely to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain and organize the warehouse and equipment.
• Assist with training new employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a team and aid in the inventory, packout, cleaning, vaulting, wrapping, staging, and packback of contents as part of the cleaning and restoration process
• Communicate with insureds as needed while on job sites
• Ability to manage a job from start to finish, including communication with the insured and adjuster, leading a team in the field, coordination with subcontractors, assisting with project related staffing decisions
• Ensure all operations procedures and protocols are followed by their team while on active jobs, in the warehouse, or while traveling to or from work or job locations.
• Manipulate contents at the client site to allow for the remediation crew to perform required tasks
• Operate iCat inventory software on a company provided iPhone
• Make job related updates in the Proven Jobs Desktop and Proven Jobs Mobile application
• Take exceptional care to package contents to prevent damage during transport
• Transport contents between the client site and our warehouse facility
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks
• Drive vehicles, including the company’s 16-foot box truck
• Drive forklift to move contents within our warehouse
• Assist with obtaining online company reviews from customers
• Ensure we have proper supplies in inventory and request inventory orders when needed
• Aid in the training of new employees
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse
• Bonus and Commission Plan with Competitve Base Salary
• Availability for overtime and on-call hours will be required during peak demand or emergency responses

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in moving or a related field
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and job-tracking software
• Availability for on-call rotation, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed

Preferred:

• IICRC certification(s) in Water Damage Restoration, Fire/Smoke Restoration, or related areas
• Prior supervisory or lead technician experience
• Experience working with insurance adjusters or property managers
• Familiarity with SERVPRO job documentation systems (WorkCenter, DryBook, etc.)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
