Job summary

PDX Movers is recruiting 15-20 Movers, Drivers and Leads for an active moving role in the Portland area. Expect weekly pay, a strong team environment, and comprehensive training to handle local residential and commercial moves from start to finish.

Starting pay is based on experience (17–24/hour) with opportunities for overtime, tips, and bonuses. Benefits kick in after 90 days, with additional certifications and a supportive company culture.

Qualifications

• Dependable individuals who enjoy physical work and can work well in a team.
• Must pass a criminal background check per OAR 740-060-0045.
• Physically able to lift and carry heavy items (75+ LBS).
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for early start times (7:30 AM).
• Driver applicants: 5+ years U.S. driving, 2+ years experience, DOT/MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, protect, load, and unload customer belongings.
• Work as part of a professional moving crew.
• Assist with local residential and commercial moves from start to finish.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while safely handling property.

The Money & Perks:

• Tips & Bonuses: Our crews average an extra $150–$250+ per week in combined credit card tips, cash tips, review bonuses.

What We Need From You:

• Compliance & Screenings: Must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with OAR 740-060-0045.
• The Physical Aspect: This is an active, heavy-lifting job. You must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry heavy items (75+LBS)
• Reliability: Shifts start at 7:30 AM sharp. We need dependable team members who show up ready to roll.
• FOR DRIVER APPLICANTS:
  • Driving Record & Experience: 5+ years of U.S. driving experience, 2+ years driving experience, and passing our MVR requirements.
  • Compliance & Screenings: Must meet all D.O.T. standards and be able to pass a background check a DOT medical exam.

The Job & Roles:

• Wrapping, protecting, loading, and unloading customer belongings.
• Working as part of a professional moving crew.
• Assisting with local residential and commercial moves from start to finish.
• Delivering outstanding customer service while safely handling customers' property.
