Overview

Olympia Moving & Storage is looking for Full‑time and Part‑time Movers/Helpers for summer and temporary work. Minimum hourly rate is $20.00. The role includes lifting boxes, furniture, and appliances, moving on stairs, and working as part of a crew. Successful candidates are strong, athletic, dependable, punctual, and have a positive team‑first attitude.

Physical requirements: safely lift and carry at least 50 lbs. for 8‑10 hours a day with stamina to work long distances and stairs; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Typical schedule: 6 am‑5 pm; weekend availability is a plus and flexible scheduling is available to accommodate education, travel, and other interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, moving, and unloading residential and commercial freight.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. and use proper lifting techniques.
• Pack and wrap furniture, appliances, and personal items for transport.
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, including the use of tugs, dollies, and safe entry/exit on stairways.
• Work collaboratively with the crew to complete moves efficiently and meet customer expectations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding schedule and any service concerns.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
