Job summary

The Staff Pad is seeking an Art Handler & Moving Specialist in the San Francisco Bay area to support relocation, packing, and installation of fine art, antiques, and luxury items. You will work with experienced professionals to ensure careful handling and delivery of irreplaceable possessions.

You will participate in packing, collections, transportation, and installation, coordinating with drivers and managers while maintaining precise paperwork and condition reports, in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Requires moving/warehouse experience or related field familiarity.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience with inventory/documentation and condition reports preferred.

Responsibilities

As an Art Handler & Moving Specialist, you willbe responsible for supporting all phases of the relocation process, includingpacking, collection, transportation, delivery, and installation and ensure thesafe handling and movement of personal effects, fine art, and antiques.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you'lldevelop specialized skills in fine art logistics while contributing toexceptional client experiences and the protection of irreplaceable items.

What You’ll Do

• Perform daily collections anddeliveries, both local and interstate, as required
• Assist with field documentation,including condition reporting and related paperwork
• Work with the Driver to ensure vehiclesare safe, clean, and trip-ready; verify shipment requirements against dailymanifests
• Report and obtain approval for anymanifest changes from the Operations or Dispatch Manager before implementation
• Safely handle art, antiques, fragileitems, and fine furniture.
• Assist with installation projects
• Prepare condition checks and conditionreports as required
• Pack artworks, antiquities, and finefurniture for transportation and storage
• Assist with loading and unloadingcompany vehicles
• Support warehouse operations as directedby the Manager
• Assist the Warehouse Manager withinventory management
• Follow direction effectively whileworking in small teams
• Assist with inventory scanning tomaintain accurate location records
• Maintain a high level of attention todetail on every assignment
• Complete and submit signed manualtimesheets within 24 hours when starting or ending the workday at a locationother than the company facility

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in moving,logistics, warehousing, art handling, or a related field preferred
• Valid ability to safely performphysical job requirements

Skills & Experience

• Experience packing, handling, andtransporting furniture, artwork, antiques, or valuable household goods
• Understanding of inventorymanagement and logistics processes with the ability to quickly learn andimplement best practices for handling furniture, fine art, and antiquitiesfrom collection through installation
• Strong organizational,time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent multi-tasking, communicationskills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to complete detailedpaperwork, inventory documentation, and condition reports accurately
• Comfortable working in afast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Professional, dependable, andteam-oriented attitude
• Experience using moving andwarehouse equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and othernecessary logistics equipment
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. regularlyand safely maneuver heavier items with appropriate equipment and teamsupport and move loads up to 120 lbs. using dollies and carts
