Job summary

College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk & Moving in Rockville, MD is seeking an Operations Manager – Move to oversee daily dispatch logistics, crew assignments, and job scheduling. You will ensure safe, efficient moves, maintain tariff compliance, and provide exceptional customer experience on moving days.

You will partner with leadership to route and execute moves, support crews, and manage operational KPIs while upholding company safety standards and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, dispatching, or service management.
• Experience managing crews or frontline operational teams.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage daily operational logistics and resolve issues quickly.
• Experience in moving, logistics, home services, or transportation preferred.
• Familiarity with tariff regulations, valuation documentation, and operational compliance preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily dispatching, routing, and scheduling for all moving jobs.
• Coordinate crew assignments and staffing for each move.
• Monitor job progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
• Communicate ETAs and updates with customers and internal teams.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for customers on moving day.
• Resolve customer concerns and execute service recovery when issues arise.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation meet compliance and audit standards.
• Lead safety oversight, including pre-shift briefings and training.
