Job summary

LPL Financial seeks an experienced IFS Platform Principal Tech Lead to guide the design, delivery, and modernization of Move Money capabilities for advisors and clients. You will lead technical initiatives across Checks, ACH, Journals, Wires, and complex retirement transactions, partnering with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Operations.

As a technology leader, you will shape platform strategy, mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and deliver cloud-native, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership in software delivery or engineering management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, architecture, security, and operations.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, SQL Server, CI/CD, and enterprise app frameworks.
• Experience designing SOA and applying software design, refactoring, testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Move Money workflows design and delivery across Checks, ACH, Journals, Wires, and retirement solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for integrations with IFS, payment tech, and enterprise systems.
• Establish engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development processes.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Drive strategic technology initiatives and align with roadmaps.
• Support cloud-native architectures, automation, CI/CD, and modern methodologies.
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and scalability, identify improvements.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and clear communication.
• Contribute to technology strategy and long-term architectural planning.
