Job summary

Knightvest Residential in Allen, TX is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartments for move-in, perform basic repairs, and support the maintenance team to deliver move-in ready homes.

You will handle plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance touch-ups, own your tools, and participate in on-call emergencies; EPA/CPO/CAMT certifications are preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Make Ready Technician.
• Hands-on skills in plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting and appliance repair.
• Renovation experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 (Type II or Universal) certification preferred or must obtain within 90 days.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
• Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred.
• Must own personal tools.
• Ability to work on-call after hours for emergencies.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Apartments for Move-In: complete make-ready checklists and ensure KV standards.
• Support Maintenance Operations: handle service requests promptly and thoroughly.
• Maintain Community Standards: upkeep of grounds, common areas, and amenities; report concerns.
• Support the Team & Other Properties: assist sister properties to maintain quality and service.
• Resident Communications: distribute notices to residents accurately and promptly.
