Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Move Technician to support the Space Planning team at our headquarters in Portland, OR. You will perform office moves, furniture installs, workspace reconfigurations, and related tasks to keep spaces safe and efficient.

You’ll work onsite Monday–Friday, read floor plans, handle equipment, and assist with onboarding and event setups. The role emphasizes reliable, punctual, team-oriented individuals committed to safety and service.

Qualifications

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Move Technician supports the Space Planning team by performing office moves, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, deliveries, and minor furniture repairs. This role helps maintain safe, functional, and efficient workspaces while providing responsive support for day-to-day business operations.

This role requires to be onsite at our Headquarters in Portland, OR Monday through Friday.

YOU HAVE

• Valid Oregon Driver License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand floor plans.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and moving equipment.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, commercial moving, furniture installation, warehouse, or maintenance work.
• Familiarity with modular office furniture systems and cubicles.
• Experience using work order management systems.
• Experience operating box trucks or cargo vans.

Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Work performed in office buildings, storage areas, loading docks, and occasionally outdoors.
• May occasionally require early morning, evening, or weekend work to support move schedules and business operations.
