Job summary

H&H, a long-established infrastructure engineering firm, is hiring a Mechanical Designer for its Boston, MA office. You will engage in movable bridge design, drafting, and project support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering, EI certification, and are willing to travel for short assignments; experience with Microstation/AutoCAD and Mathcad is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred or required.
• Willingness to travel for short-term assignments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Microstation and AutoCAD CAD software (preferred).
• Experience with Mathcad computational software (preferred).
• Hands-on experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Engage in inspection, condition assessment, reporting, review, analysis, design, oversight and construction support of movable bridge and heavy movable structure applications
• Assist team project engineers and lead design engineers
• Research design options and document findings for project managers
• Develop Mechanical drawings
• Review drawings and recommend necessary changes
