The Movable Bridge Unit in Mechanicsburg, PA, and Philadelphia, PA offices is seeking Bridge Design Engineers with interest and experience in Movable Bridge Design.

Movable Bridge Unit focuses on the structural, mechanical, and electrical design of movable bridges, including new designs, inspections, and rehabilitation of existing bridges. Our instrumentation group monitors bridges using various gauges and instrumentation. The team includes Structural, Electrical, Mechanical Engineers, and CADD Technicians.

Positions and Locations:

• Entry Level (0-4 years experience): Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA
• Mid-Level (4-10 years experience): Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• BSc in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited); MS preferred
• Relevant coursework in Bridge Design, Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete, Finite Element Modeling
• For Entry Level: Valid EI certification or in progress
• For Mid-Level: Within 6 months of obtaining PE license

Responsibilities:

• Structural analysis, design, and review
• Use of engineering software and CAD
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Field and construction services as needed
