Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Mounting Coordinator to support mounting department operations in Lithia Springs, GA. The role involves setting up jobs, managing inventory and tooling, and ensuring smooth cross-department communication.

The candidate will cover the Mounting Lead when needed and help reduce costs through effective plate management. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read engineering documents and perform basic arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to comprehend engineering forms to confirm coordinates and layouts.
• Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs in the mounting stacker system.
• Manage stickyback inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
• Manage the plate towers and perform regular system audits.
• Manage printing sleeve and adapter inventory, including identifying when items need to be ordered.
• Mount jobs independently without supervision.
• Cover the Mounting Lead role when needed.
• Manage tooling for upcoming and new jobs and maintain the tooling storage area.
• Understand, manage, and communicate plate costs and plate reorder issues to help reduce cost and unnecessary spending.
• Communicate challenges and issues between the pre-press, mounting, and printing departments and support solutions to those challenges.
