Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current certification: Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), Wilderness First Responder (WFR), EMT I or higher.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
• Strong skiing or snowboarding skills to safely perform job duties.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality and infection control practices.
• Strong critical thinking, time management and prioritization.
• Empathy, confidentiality, and patient-centered care are essential.
• Proficiency with snowmachines, ATVs, and patient toboggans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clear trails before opening; ensure no guests remain on slopes at closing or during bad weather.
• Assess terrain conditions, mark hazards, and adjust terrain access based on conditions.
• Maintain safety tasks: lift areas, tower pads, and rope lines; enforce policies.
• Monitor lifts for hazards; report concerns and assist with evacuations when needed.
• Rescue injured guests and administer first aid; transport patients as required.
• Document incident history and follow up procedures with medical staff.
• Notify Director of Mountain Operations of serious incidents and ambulance responses.
• Operate snowmachines/ATVs to move equipment; participate in snow removal when needed.
• Maintain training/certifications and support a positive, collaborative team.
