Job summary

Giants Ridge, operated by Guest Services, Inc., is seeking a Mountain Operations Technician in Minnesota. The role supports year-round mountain operations, including snowmaking, grooming, trail and grounds maintenance, and equipment operation, under the Mountain Manager.

Expect outdoor, hands-on work in all weather and seasons. The position emphasizes safe operation, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid Class D driver's license.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of mountain operation equipment and machinery.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance.
• Make records of inspections and maintenance activities.
• Operate snow grooming equipment to prepare skiing surfaces.
• Perform snowmaking operations including setup, monitoring, and shutdown.
• Monitor weather, snow quality, and adjust operations accordingly.
• Assist with seasonal opening/closing of slopes and facilities.
• Identify and report equipment issues to management.
• Provide quality service to guests and coordinate with departments.
