Job summary

Southern Lumber & Millwork is hiring a full-time Moulder Operator to join our manufacturing team in Charleston, South Carolina. You will set up, operate, and monitor industrial moulding machines to produce custom and stock profiles, and ensure finished products meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Be able to lift, carry, and move at least 50 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
• Be comfortable performing physical work while standing and moving for extended periods.
• Be able to work safely around industrial woodworking machinery.
• Follow instructions and complete assigned work accurately.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor industrial moulding machines.
• Produce custom and stock moulding profiles according to specifications.
• Feed lumber and other materials through moulding equipment.
• Inspect finished moulding for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Measure materials and confirm that finished profiles meet required dimensions.
• Assist with machine adjustments and changeovers between moulding profiles.
• Identify and communicate production or quality concerns.
• Work closely with other Moulder Shop team members to meet production goals.
• Handle, stack, organize, and move raw materials and finished moulding.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
