Job summary

Ensign Energy is hiring Motorhands to support drilling operations across Western Canada. The Motorhand is responsible for maintaining rig engines, pumps, and mechanical systems, as well as assisting on the rig floor during drilling operations.

Ideal candidates have Floorhand experience, mechanical aptitude, and diesel knowledge. Certifications H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS/OSSA BSO are required, and you must be physically fit for extended rotations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Floorhand or equivalent rig experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of diesel engines and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rig engines, mud pumps, generators, and hydraulic systems.
• Monitor fluid levels, pressures, and engine performance.
• Assist with drilling fluids and mud systems.
• Support rig floor operations during tripping and drilling.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on rig equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized engine room and pump area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair rig engines, mud pumps, generators, and hydraulic systems
• Monitor fluid levels, pressures, and engine performance
• Assist with mixing and maintaining drilling fluids and mud systems
• Support rig floor operations during tripping and drilling
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on rig equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized engine room and pump area

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Floorhand or equivalent rig experience
• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of diesel engines and pumps
• Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSTS/OSSA BSO certifications
• Physically fit with the ability to work extended rotational shifts
• Valid driver's license
