CEC Motor & Utility Services LLC is seeking a Motor Winder Apprentice for our shop in New York. This entry-level role focuses on learning the motor winding trade, including stripping wire windings, coil creation, installation, and connections, with hands-on training under supervision.

The position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable and have a desire to learn.
• Detail oriented and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Remove old windings from motor cores, and clean and prep the motors.
• Calculate, shape, and wind new coils.
• Dip wound motors in varnish and bake in industrial ovens.
• Regular in-person attendance is required.
• Keep the facility clean and orderly.
• Occasionally may be asked to perform other functions not addressed in this posting.
