Job summary

Adams County in Westminster, CO is seeking a Motor Vehicle Title and Registration Technician I to process title applications and issue motor vehicle registrations for the public in person, by phone, and by email. The role requires accuracy with taxes/fees and adherence to state statutes and county policies.

The position offers benefits, potential overtime, and opportunities to assist Elections and Recording departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read and write at a high school level.
• One year of customer service experience required.
• Ability to learn Clerk and Recorder's policies and Colorado statutes.
• Notary certification and deputization may be required.
• Bilingual in any language is highly preferred (Adams County offers bilingual pay).

Responsibilities

• Process title applications and issue motor vehicle registrations per statute, rules, and policies.
• Explain taxes/fees and assist customers in person, by phone, or by email.
• Perform VIN inspections in the designated parking area.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
• Cash handling and daily cash reconciliation.
• Work at various Adams County Clerk and Recorder locations and occasional overtime.
• Assist Elections and Recording departments as needed.
• Adhere to Adams County norms, values and local office procedures.
