Job summary

Oklahoma Tax Commission, Motor Fuel division, seeks a dedicated Motor Fuel Specialist to perform audits and reviews ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The role supports financial accountability standards and prepares audit reports to inform policy and enforcement actions.

The position includes telework potential and a comprehensive benefits package. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a closely related field.
• Each year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and conduct audits and reviews of taxpayer motor fuel reports and financial records.
• Produce detailed schedules of audit findings with supporting documents.
• Audit motor fuel information from other states concerning imports into Oklahoma.
• Assist in developing and revising motor fuel forms, procedures and audit policies.
• Provide monthly production reports of completed and pending audits.
