The Town of New Hartford is seeking a full-time Motor Equipment Operator for the Highway Department. The role requires operating specialized motor equipment, maintaining certification for a Commercial Driver's License, and having relevant experience. This position provides a vital service in the maintenance of local highways and infrastructure.
The Town of New Hartford has an immediate opening for a full time Motor Equipment Operator in the Highway Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
(a) One (1) year of experience in the operation of medium or heavy duty, moderately complex, specialized motor equipment; OR
(b) Two (2) years of experience in the operation of light automotive equipment, such as a car, pick-up truck, panel truck or station wagon.
NOTE : Verifiable part-time experience as described above will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) at time of appointment. This license must be maintained throughout appointment.
