Job Title: Under Bridge Equipment Operator
SUMMARY
Bridge Masters is hiring an under bridge equipment operator for several upcoming jobs. Training will take place at our corporate Headquarters in Redmond, OR. The ideal candidate will have strong equipment operation skills and knowledge of hydraulic systems and large trucks.
Responsible for transportation of equipment to and from job sites; safely operating the equipment at bridge job sites; conducting daily, weekly and monthly safety checks. Conduct repair & maintenance on equipment as needed. Properly complete all necessary paperwork and job logs. Willingness to cross-train is also a plus.
For most jobs:
Work is day or night work in and out of Under Bridge Machines, operating hoists and other heavy equipment as needed. Some jobs are prevailing wage. Extensive travel is required from our base in Redmond, Oregon. Class B with Air Brake Endorsement is required and a CDL Class A with Air Brake Endorsement is required upon hire. Stay in your own hotel room paid by the company and are paid Meals and Incidentals at $59/day.
Some typical duties are:
Work in a safety sensitive position in and around elevated structures and heavy equipment
Transportation of equipment to (and from) job site
Set up of all Bridge Masters, Inc. bridge work equipment at jobs
Perform daily, weekly, & monthly safety checks of all equipment
Operating light crane equipment in a safe and effective fashion
Performing inspections & maintenance on the bridge work equipment while in the field
Knowledge of signals, safe working loads of equipment and proper rigging
Reporting equipment issues to the office if they are beyond local repair
Locking out equipment if it is unsafe to operate
Adherence to all safety rules while operating equipment
Following CDL driving rules and regulations
Onsite machine maintenance/repair
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated competence operating man lifts and heavy equipment.
CDL license with class B w/air brakes, Class A w/ air brakes endorsement preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment similar to the under bridge work equipment used at Bridge Masters, Inc., (cranes, man lifts, front loaders, etc.).
Passing OSHA 30 test or already have passed the test.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Manual dexterity required for operating equipment and tools
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to properly lift up to 75 pounds.
