The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is seeking a Motor Vehicle Enforcement Officer II in Beckham County, OK. This full-time role enforces state laws on motor carriers, licenses, registrations, and motor fuel taxes at weigh stations or Ports of Entry. Not a CLEET-certified position.

Must have two years of related experience or equivalent education; willingness to travel; résumé and Workday profile required for consideration. This is a hands-on, in-person position with no remote option.

Competenze

• Two years of experience in transportation administration, law enforcement, security, reserve officer work, or in the transportation industry; or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of routine enforcement practices and transportation laws; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for the position.

Mansioni

• Operates within a facility to identify motor carriers operating in violation of state laws, inspects vehicles and documents to determine compliance.
• Enforces state size and weight laws and overweight and oversize permits.
• Enforces federal and state laws and agency rules concerning motor carrier licensing and registrations.
• Issues citations for violations and handles related fees and penalties; testifies at trials/hearings.
• Provides assistance to law enforcement entities and motor vehicle license agents with motor vehicle and motor fuel laws.
• Liaises with the public to explain requirements and applications of statutes and rules.
