Job summary

Unusual Machines is expanding its FPV drone manufacturing team in Orlando, FL. We are seeking a hands-on Motor Assembler to solder, bond, and assemble motor components for FPV drones and related products.

You will work closely with manufacturing engineers and technicians, following precise instructions to deliver reliable motor assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. Prior soldering or assembly experience is preferred, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior assembly or soldering experience preferred.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble motor components using fixtures, presses, adhesives, and hand tools.
• Solder motor wires and terminals to meet quality standards.
• Inspect parts and escalate defects promptly.
• Follow detailed work instructions and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure smooth production flow.
• Complete startup and shutdown procedures for each shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Consistently deliver high-quality assemblies meeting daily targets.

You in this Role

You’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and take pride in building things the right way. As a Motor Assembler, you’ll be a key part of our production team, soldering, bonding, and fitting components to deliver motors that power the future of FPV and drone technology. You enjoy working with your hands, following precise instructions, and contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble motor components using fixtures, presses, adhesives, and hand tools.
• Perform soldering of motor wires and terminals to meet quality standards.
• Inspect and identify good vs. defective parts and escalates issues promptly.
• Follow detailed work instructions and accurately maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to ensure smooth production flow.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Consistently deliver high-quality assemblies that meet daily production targets.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in assembly or soldering (preferred).
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to clearly communicate issues and defects.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
