Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience with precision motion stages or actuators and specifying systems.
• Knowledge of servo motors, drives, motion controllers, encoders and controls integration.
• CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for customers and design/production partners.
• Translate customer requirements into specifications for stages, actuators, cables, sensors and controllers.
• Lead projects from requirements through delivery, managing schedules, milestones, changes, risks and expectations.
• Review partner designs using knowledge of kinematics, stiffness, GD&T and tolerances.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers to resolve motion control and integration issues.
• Own specifications, drawings, BOMs and acceptance criteria used in development and production.
• Coordinate builds and testing with production partners to ensure customer-ready packages.
• Support customers, sales and manufacturing with technical questions and troubleshooting.
• Use CAD and engineering analysis to develop concepts and document decisions and test results.
