Foundation Robotics Labs Inc. is seeking engineers to advance autonomous ATV motion planning and real-time control. You will design algorithms, integrate perception and planning stacks, and test solutions in field and simulation environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on robotics work, practical problem-solving, and collaboration with vehicle engineering to deliver robust autonomy on off-road platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with motion planning algorithms.
• Strong background in robotics or related field and MSc/BS level education.
• Proficiency in ROS2, C++ and Python with experience in sensor and map representations.
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics and real-world testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Set short- and long-term direction for planning architecture and priorities.
• Design and implement motion planning algorithms for off-road ATV navigation.
• Integrate waypoints, obstacle avoidance, and terrain constraints into safe, drivable paths.
• Tune and validate control parameters for robust performance on rough terrain.
• Design test scenarios and evaluate planning algorithms in simulation and field environments.
• Set real-time replanning policies and continuity rules as conditions change.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineering to create an integrated system including sensor/compute selection.
• Implement state-of-the-art approaches to trajectory and route planning and real-time control.
