DiDi's autonomous driving unit is seeking a Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer to build core decision-making and motion planning for autonomous vehicles in San Jose, CA.

You will implement algorithms enabling safe, smooth navigation across complex environments and integrate high-level decisions with low-level trajectory optimization. Collaborate with Prediction, Perception, and Control teams to create a robust world model, optimize trajectory ranking, and develop context-aware velocity

Formación

• BS/MS in CS, robotics or related field.
• Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, or automotive software.
• Strong proficiency in C++ for real-time algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement core motion planning logic for high-level actions.
• Develop and optimize motion planning algorithms for behavior decisions and trajectory.
• Architect geometry and velocity systems for feasible, safe paths and speeds.
• Model driving scenarios to build a robust world model for the planner.
• Design trajectory costs balancing ETAs, comfort and safety.
• Analyze, test and debug system performance across scenarios.
• Collaborate with Prediction, Perception, and Control teams to ensure end-to-end flow.
