Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a qualified Physical Therapist to join our Clinical Rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include implementing practice changes from PI activities, developing referral relationships, and ensuring accurate chart reviews and documentation.

You will work with clinical and support staff, support staff meetings, and contribute to continuous education and patient-centered care in a full-time daytime role at our Innovation Tower facility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy required or preferred.
• Florida PT license required for eligibility.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1+ year licensed PT experience preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develops and participates in practice changes from performance improvement activities.
• Builds referral relationships and community awareness through physician marketing and events.
• Coordinates regular chart audits and ensures timely, accurate documentation.
• Serves as a clinical resource for physicians, staff and patients, escalating issues when needed.
• Oversees clinical staff, conducts interviews and orientations, and supports performance evaluations.
• Promotes evidence-based care and lifelong learning through research and education.

Job Description:

1. Location: Innovation Tower 265 E Rollins St, Orlando, FL 32804
2. May travel: 600 Courtland st. Orlando, FL 32804
3. Schedule: Monday - Friday Full time
4. Develops and participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities, supporting quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
5. Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices and other stakeholders to build referral relationships and consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extensions of clinical expertise to the community
6. Coordinates regular chart audits and reviews for accurate and timely completion for the assigned area/team, including input of PI data as required, and educates the clinical team, coaching individuals to support regulatory and content compliance with clinical documentation.
7. Performs all duties of a Clinician as per the associated Clinicians job description based on license. Serves as a clinical resource for physicians, stakeholders, patients, and staff, escalating issues as appropriate to their leader as appropriate.
8. Assists in daily operations, including active involvement in clinical and service rounding, develops and delivers clinical content at staff meetings, conducts staff meetings, completes management reports and Investigates, responds to complaints.
9. Oversees the care provided by Clinical and support staff, according to established regulations and practice standards. Interviews, hires, and orients clinical staff, completing clinical competencies and performance appraisals with new hires and each rehab staff member.
10. Promotes evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/clinical instruction, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group.
11. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
