Job summary

Overseas is seeking a skilled Motion Graphics Designer to create 2D motion graphics and translate them into short-form social videos for our AI and SaaS clients. You’ll design, animate, and deliver polished assets for paid social and organic channels in a fast-paced agency environment.

Bring a strong 2D portfolio, expertise in After Effects and Premiere Pro, and the ability to work across multiple brand systems with consistent visuals. This is a 100% remote role requiring US business hours.

Qualifications

• Proven 2D motion graphics experience with a portfolio across multiple styles and formats.
• Proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and animation, and Premiere Pro for video assembly.
• Ability to work across multiple brand systems with visual consistency.
• Strong sense of pacing and timing for social platforms.
• Fast, organized, and able to manage multiple briefs and deliver on time.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate 2D motion graphics from briefs, style guides, and creative direction.
• Build motion graphic sequences including text animations, transitions, icon animations, kinetic typography, and branded graphic elements.
• Produce motion graphic assets that are technically clean, well-structured, and easy to iterate on.
• Translate 2D motion graphic work into finished short-form social videos for Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
• Cut, pace, and sequence motion content into complete video ads and organic social assets.
• Size and format finished video deliverables correctly for each platform and placement.
• Apply sound design, music, and audio treatment that fits the content and platform requirements.
• Organize and maintain project files with clean layer structures, naming conventions, and version control.
• Deliver finished assets in the correct formats and specifications for each platform.
• Communicate proactively on timelines and flag any brief gaps or technical issues before they delay delivery.

We're looking for a Motion Graphics Designer to create 2D motion graphic content and translate it into short-form social media videos for a boutique growth marketing agency serving ambitious AI and SaaS companies. You will design and animate motion graphics, build finished short-form video assets for paid social and organic channels, and deliver polished, platform-ready output that performs at the standard a performance marketing environment demands.

2D motion graphics is the core requirement. 3D motion graphics experience is a strong plus but not required. You need to be fast, technically clean, and comfortable producing content that is built to stop the scroll across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social platforms. If you have a strong 2D motion graphics portfolio, know how to translate animations into finished short-form video, and can work at agency pace across multiple accounts and formats, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Work On

2D Motion Graphics Design and Animation

• Design and animate 2D motion graphics from briefs, style guides, and creative direction
• Build motion graphic sequences including text animations, transitions, icon animations, kinetic typography, and branded graphic elements
• Work within and across multiple client brand systems without drifting from visual standards or animation styles
• Produce motion graphic assets that are technically clean, well-structured, and easy to iterate on

Short-Form Social Video Production

• Translate 2D motion graphic work into finished short-form social media videos for Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms
• Cut, pace, and sequence motion content into complete video ads and organic social assets
• Size and format finished video deliverables correctly for each platform and placement
• Apply sound design, music, and audio treatment that fits the content and platform requirements

Asset Management and Delivery

• Organize and maintain project files with clean layer structures, naming conventions, and version control
• Deliver finished assets in the correct formats and specifications for each platform
• Communicate proactively on timelines and flag any brief gaps or technical issues before they delay delivery

What You Bring

• Proven 2D motion graphics experience with a portfolio showing finished work across multiple styles and formats — this is the primary requirement
• Proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and animation, and Premiere Pro or a comparable editing tool for video assembly
• Comfortable working within and across multiple brand systems simultaneously without losing visual consistency
• Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and what makes motion content effective on social platforms
• Fast and organized with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deliver on time across concurrent projects
• Clear communicator who flags issues early and keeps project status current

Nice to Have

• 3D motion graphics experience in Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar tools
• Background in a performance marketing agency environment with experience producing paid social creative
• Experience with AI-assisted motion design or creative workflow tools
• Familiarity with the AI and SaaS brand aesthetic
