Job description

Motion Graphic Designer (Entry Level – U.S. Sports Obsessed)

Location: Remote / US & Canada preferred

Team: Creative Production

About the Role

RMGS is looking for a junior Motion Graphic Designer who gets U.S. sports on a cultural level. You don’t need a long resume — you need talent, taste, speed, and the ability to translate sports energy into scroll‑stopping video ads. If you love NFL Sundays, NBA storylines, and the chaos of real‑time sports moments, this is where you’ll thrive.

You’ll be producing high‑impact motion assets that drive performance across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and more. Expect fast turnarounds, constant iteration, and the satisfaction of seeing your work scale millions of impressions.

What You’ll Do
  • Build motion graphics daily for paid social, UGC integrations, and rapid‑fire sports moments.
  • Turn scripts, hooks, and creative concepts into clean, punchy animations.
  • Create reusable templates for matchups, player props, game‑day hype, and trend‑based creatives.
  • Edit typography‑driven motion, transitions, overlays, sports UI elements, and dynamic stat visuals.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with UA to iterate based on performance data and audience signals.
  • Deliver assets fast across all required formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
  • Support the team with light video editing, cutdowns, and motion elements for UGC.
What You Bring
  • A strong portfolio (school projects or self‑initiated work are totally fine).
  • Solid After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop skills.
  • Fast execution — comfortable working with tight deadlines and multiple variations.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. sports culture (must‑have) : teams, players, rivalries, narratives, and pacing.
  • A good feel for social creative trends and what makes a paid ad hook in the first 1–2 seconds.
  • Curiosity, humility, and willingness to learn from data, not ego.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with DFS/sports betting content, or interest in the category.
  • Familiarity with Figma.
  • Comfort testing AI‑assisted workflows (Runway, Midjourney, etc.).
  • Prior work creating vertical video content for TikTok.
What Success Looks Like at RMGS
  • You produce polished motion graphics quickly and confidently – daily.
  • You understand the US sports moment and build creatives that feel right for that moment.
  • Your iterations get better each week — tighter hooks, cleaner motion, higher performance.
  • You become a go‑to partner for both Creative and UA to turn ideas into high‑performing assets.
