Job summary

Figma is seeking a Motion Designer to join our Product Education team to teach users how to adopt Figma into their toolkit, using motion and design to explain complex topics to junior and prospective designers.

You will manage end-to-end video production for YouTube, create eye-catching motion graphics, collaborate with Product, Education, Marketing, and Growth to position content for new features, and measure impact through lightweight analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience animating educational content for SaaS products.
• Ability to create clear, concise, approachable content.
• Ability to identify the best way to teach complex concepts and adapt approaches.

Responsibilities

• Create guided video tutorials for YouTube and collaborate with other departments.
• Explain complex topics in terms understandable by junior designers.
• Manage end-to-end video production from inception to delivery.
• Collaborate with Education Designers and Content Strategists on scripts and voiceovers.
• Ideate, record, animate, edit, and publish videos to YouTube.
• Create motion graphics explainers and transitions for screen recordings.
• Work with Product and Engineering to understand features and problems solved for users.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Brand, Community, and Growth on content positioning for new features.
• Identify key success metrics and engage with users in video comments.
