Job Title: Motion Designer (Social-First Video Content)
Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Employment Type:W2 Contract (3–6 months minimum, potential for full-time conversion)

Overview
Our client is seeking a talented Motion Designer with a strong background in short-form, social-first video content to support their digital marketing team. This role is critical in driving engaging, high-performing video content—especially for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok—that showcases the value and features of their consumer app.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, fast-moving team where your motion design expertise will play a key role in product storytelling, lifestyle marketing, and app feature promotion.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and edit high-quality short-form video content optimized for social media platforms (primarily Instagram Reels and TikTok).

• Translate product features and lifestyle themes into visually compelling narratives.

• Collaborate with marketing stakeholders and creative partners to align content with brand voice and business goals.

• Own video production end-to-end: from storyboarding to post-production.

• Provide strategic input on content format, tone, and visual direction based on platform best practices and performance trends.

• Work closely with team members including the hiring manager and internal creatives to ensure brand and message consistency.

• Deliver content that supports upcoming marketing campaigns running through September.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in motion design, video editing, or content creation.

• Proven expertise in tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other industry-standard design/editing platforms.

• A portfolio that demonstrates creativity in short-form, video-first content for social media.

• Strong understanding of how to connect lifestyle themes (e.g., sports, music, pets, weather) with product messaging.

• Comfort working within existing brand guidelines while contributing fresh, platform-native ideas.

• Bonus: Copywriting skills or experience designing static graphics.

• Ability to embed quickly into a team, take initiative, and collaborate fluidly in a remote setting.

Additional Notes

• You’ll collaborate closely with internal team members like Jules and Allison for brand and tone guidance.

• You will not be working directly with the internal news-focused social team, but rather on evergreen and product-centric content.

• This role is ideal for someone who’s quick, resourceful, and excited about creating content that drives product discovery through creativity and storytelling.

  The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $35.00 to $45.00/hr.
