Job summary

PBC Linear, a Pacific Bearing Company, is seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer to design, test, and support linear motion systems, including servo and stepper drives, sensors, and safety equipment. You will size drives, program PLCs (IEC 61131-3), tune axes, and integrate with I/O.

You will wire panels, create electrical schematics, support field installations, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineering peers.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with servo/stepper dynamics and drives.
• PLC programming and drive integration with I/O.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and panel wiring.

Responsibilities

• Size drives and train components from sketches and load calculations.
• Design, select components, and troubleshoot motion systems.
• Wire, install, and troubleshoot control panels.
• Tune servo/stepper axes for performance and stability.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineers on controls issues.
