You will assess learning needs, develop varied teaching strategies, oversee orientation, and promote professional portfolio development, with emphasis on continuous improvement and certification readiness.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the health care team to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care.
• Supports patient care by coordinating floor coverage with Nurse Managers and Unit Coordinators.
• Actively mentors staff in ongoing development of clinical competencies and communication.
• Assesses unit and individual learning needs, considering generational and cultural differences.
• Implements teaching strategies to meet learner needs and ensure competency.
• Oversees orientation documentation and employee files to meet regulatory requirements.
• Facilitates in-services and CEU opportunities, promoting certification and professional portfolios.
• Models evidence-based practice and participates in policy development.
• Organizes new employee orientation, scheduling, and oversight of orientation and competency.
• Supports performance improvement initiatives using methods like PDCA.
