Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mother Baby unit in a full-time day shift (7am-7pm). The RN participates in an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will use evidence-based practice, uphold the Nurse Practice Act, and contribute to shared governance within Wellstar. Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred), with a minimum of five years of direct patient care experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification and appropriate neonatal/obstetric certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and thorough documentation.
• Support governance, professional development, and ongoing education to uphold standards of care.
• Demonstrate effective communication and leadership in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment.
