Mission Hospital is seeking a Mother Baby Registered Nurse to provide leadership in delivering professional nursing care for mothers and newborns. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, while supervising staff and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, planning and evaluating care based on patient needs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required or BCLS instructor credential.
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required or obtained within specified timeframe.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree or equivalent work experience acceptable in lieu of degree.

Responsabilités

• Oversee delivery of patient care for a group of patients based on acuity and staff availability.
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes to adjust nursing care as needed.
• Formulate and implement plans of care based on patient assessment and identified needs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Mother Baby unit, you will provide leadership which facilities the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and directs patient care based on patient acuity and staff availability.
• You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.
• You will formulate plan of care based on patient assessment and identified needs.
• You will plan, anticipate, prioritize and monitor delivery of care through critical reasoning based on patients need, response and progress.
• You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• You will document and report data, patient response and progress.
• You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

What qualifications you will need:

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or Bachelors Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
