Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California (CA RN) required
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required
• BLS certification required at hire

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized mother-baby and lactation support by assessing breastfeeding needs and delivering education to mothers and families.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care through comprehensive patient assessment and care planning.
• Educate, advocate, and support patients and families with culturally responsive information and resources.
• Promote newborn safety by adhering to infection prevention, security, and fall-prevention measures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, communicate during handoffs, document accurately, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
