Job summary

Neo Financial is seeking experienced Mortgage Underwriters to review documentation and underwrite deals nationwide in Canada. You will collaborate with Mortgage Sales and third‑party brokers to provide optimal financing solutions while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Canadian mortgage underwriting, a passion for growth, and stellar communication. In-office work is preferred, with flexibility for remote candidates not near an office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years underwriting experience in Canadian mortgage industry.
• Strong client service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with sales teams and brokers to document requirements.
• Organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex and high-value mortgage loan applications, including unique borrower profiles.
• Deliver mortgages from application through funding with MFO support.
• Communicate clearly with Sales, brokers, and partners on process, expectations, and documentation.
• Coordinate status updates with Sales, MFOs, Coordinators, and brokers for active files.
• Develop expertise in Neo products, Salesforce CRM capabilities, and industry trends.
