Experience with Encompass is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills to support timely decisions and collaboration with brokers and account teams.

Qualifications

• Active Underwriter designation (DE) required.
• Proven mortgage underwriting experience.
• Experience with Encompass required.
• Strong knowledge of HUD underwriting guidelines.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications, credit reports, and documents to determine eligibility.
• Assess income, assets, debt, and risk factors for underwriting.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to resolve documentation issues.
• Prepare reports with findings and loan decisions.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of borrower profiles.
• Stay updated on industry changes and best practices.
