Position Summary:
Provide servicing and operational support for Meriwest Mortgage’s approximately $1.2 billion servicing portfolio. Serve as a central point of contact among borrowers, members, branches, the call center, mortgage staff, Cenlar, investors, and other service providers. Research servicing matters, coordinate next steps and escalations, support loan boarding and investor delivery, and assist with audits, collateral administration, lock desk activities, and post-closing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary servicing resource for borrowers, members, branches, the call center, mortgage staff, and Cenlar. Research account and servicing questions, review applicable policies and guidelines, communicate requirements and next steps, provide requested documents, and refer or elevate exceptions and matters requiring additional authority.
- Upload funded loans and supporting documents to Cenlar. Review daily extracts to confirm loans are boarded successfully and assigned to the correct investor. Resolve boarding or documentation issues, send required purchase information, maintain open satisfaction and document reports, provide paid‑in‑full deeds within required timelines, prepare WISH Grant reconveyances, and update reconciliation reports.
- Coordinate post‑funding investor delivery activities for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Meriwest Credit Union, HEART, and other applicable investors. Gather and enter required data, submit purchase documents, monitor receipt of purchase funds, work with Accounting on payment reconciliation, and provide missing documentation needed to complete investor purchase.
- Coordinate mortgage documentation for internal, investor, TENA, and regulatory audits. Work with Compliance and other partners to address documentation or guideline questions. Maintain and update servicing procedures based on regulatory requirements, process improvements, and management direction.
- Support servicing matters involving loss mitigation, collections, and pre‑collection review. Review available loan information and applicable guidelines to help determine the appropriate next step, communicate requirements, and route matters requiring approval, exception handling, or specialized review.
- Coordinate collateral and paid‑off loan documentation with the external vault or collateral custodian. Track collateral, organize paid‑in‑full files, facilitate document retrieval and return, maintain related records, and support payoff, satisfaction, and reconveyance processes.
- Serve as a resource for mortgage insurance, property tax, escrow, and servicing questions. Verify mortgage insurance setup, assist with research and corrections, and prepare daily payment, impound, and wire‑related spreadsheets.
- Assist with lock desk, shipping, post‑closing document review and filing, loan file review for TENA quality control, and other mortgage operational activities as assigned.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years to five years of similar or related mortgage servicing, post‑closing, investor delivery, or loan operations experience, including experience working with a sub‑servicer such as Cenlar. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- A two‑year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.
- A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
- The position communicates with borrowers, members, internal teams, auditors, vendors, and service providers regarding sensitive or confidential servicing matters. The role must explain requirements clearly, respond professionally to escalated concerns, and coordinate effectively across departments.
- Working knowledge of mortgage servicing, loan boarding, investor delivery, collateral administration, mortgage insurance, property taxes, escrow, payoff and reconveyance processes. Ability to research and interpret established policies and guidelines, identify issues, maintain accurate records, update procedures, and elevate matters outside established authority. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, problem‑solving, and Excel skills are required.

Target Range: $31.61 to $39.52*
*The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications.
