Job summary

Cornerstone Servicing, a division of Cornerstone Capital Bank, seeks an experienced Business Controls Audit Lead in Englewood, CO to oversee audits and regulatory testing within mortgage servicing operations.

You will liaise with auditors, manage engagements from planning to closure, and drive remediation with strong regulatory knowledge. This onsite role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, business controls, internal audit, or related.
• Experience with audit management, GRC, and issue-management.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit methodologies.
• Experience with regulators in banking or mortgage servicing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate internal/external audits and regulatory exams across mortgage servicing.
• Own engagements from planning to closure with timelines and resources.
• Primary contact for auditors and stakeholders.
• Assess scope, requirements, and risk to shape responses.
• Review evidence for completeness and regulatory alignment.
• Drive remediation, root-cause analysis, and action plans.
• Generate management reports and executive updates.
