Job summary

Guaranteed Rate in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Sales Assistant/Processor for a top producing branch. Hybrid role with one to two days in office.

You will support the preapproval process, gather documentation, and prepare files for processing, while maintaining strong communication with borrowers and real estate partners. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and timely updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage processing experience and the ability to calculate income.
• Excellent data entry skills and PC skills.
• Knowledge of Encompass.
• Strong experience calculating income and reading tax returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
• Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on daily production.

Responsibilities

• Support the preapproval process by gathering documentation, organizing files, and ensuring completeness.
• Assist with issuing preapprovals accurately and promptly.
• Prepare files for submission to processing and underwriting with clean documentation and clear notes.
• Promptly return calls, emails, and messages from borrowers and real estate agents.
• Maintain positive, professional, and helpful relationships with real estate partners.
• Provide clear status updates and set expectations, even when a full answer is not immediately available.
• Represent brand with professionalism, calm confidence, and urgency.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency and reduce friction.
• Maintain strong time management skills and daily prioritization.
• Enter complete and accurate data into Encompass.
• Enter and maintain client contacts and communication logs.

Pay Range: $45,000 per year + per file bonus
