Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting or Finance.
• 4-7 years in Financial Services, preferably Mortgage Loan Servicing.
• Mortgage servicing or mortgage lending experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of operational and regulatory risk controls, concepts, and practices.
• Ability to plan, organize and effectively execute risk mitigation and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments.
• Strong client service skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated; self-starter.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergent problems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, defines and documents detailed process workflows through user interviews, facilitated workshops and SME engagement.
• Design and execute risk assessments.
• Create a clear understanding of core accountabilities within the process and prioritize high-impact needs.
• Organize research for and development of specialized risk assessment scopes.
• Collaborates with management to optimize risk assessment and scope development.
• Identify potential business risks, regulatory process deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Gather and synthesize data; present conclusions and mitigation strategies to management.
• Recommend additional controls and corrective actions to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Assist in preparing and presenting to management risk assessment reports and trends.
• Gather information and provide fact-based findings; escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Establish a network of SMEs to support process improvements.
