Job summary

First Financial Bank is seeking a Mortgage Originator in Evansville, IN. This hybrid role focuses on generating mortgage loans, building strong relationships with real estate professionals, and promoting bank loan products within the local community.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in mortgage lending or banking, strong sales and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree (preferred). The position supports a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending or banking experience.
• Familiarity with mortgage loan documents and loan processing.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or liberal arts preferred.
• Strong customer service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of lending policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending or banking experience .
• Familiarity with mortgage loan documents and loan processing.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or liberal arts is preferred.
• Strong customer service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and knowledge of lending policies.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
• Ability to commute to the primary work location and occasionally to other work locations within driving distance.
