Position: Mortgage Operations Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Mortgage Operations Supervisor will oversee and optimize the operational processes of the mortgage division, from loan origination to closing. This role involves working closely with the Loan Servicing Manager and Chief Credit Officer to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant loan processing.

The supervisor will direct mortgage lending activities, establish residential lending goals, and ensure adherence to investor guidelines such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and others. Reporting to the Loans Servicing Manager, the position's level depends on experience and education.

Essential Functions:

1. Train, supervise, and manage mortgage operations staff.
2. Conduct performance reviews and develop professional growth plans.
3. Create training materials and provide ongoing coaching.
4. Optimize loan processing workflows, including overseeing the Encompass LOS program.
5. Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
6. Monitor loan pipeline and reassign files to meet deadlines.
7. Assist staff in resolving customer concerns related to mortgage processing.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (TILA, RESPA, HMDA, etc.) and develop risk mitigation procedures.
9. Serve as escalation point for client issues and coordinate with external audits.
10. Maintain knowledge of vendor requirements and act as FHLB-MPF Bank Representative.
11. Provide regular reports on operational metrics.
12. Coordinate between sales, processing, underwriting, and closing teams.
13. Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot and improve systems.
14. Travel for industry training and seminars.
15. Maintain valid driver’s license and adhere to security protocols like MFA apps.
