Job summary

Blackhawk Bank & Trust is seeking a Mortgage Officer to guide borrowers from application to closing and tailor mortgage solutions to their goals.

You will partner with clients, coordinate with processors and underwriters, and ensure compliance while growing a robust referral network and pipeline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
• NMLS licensing (or ability to obtain)
• Experience with mortgage lending and compliance is a plus.

As a Mortgage Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting both new and existing customers from application to closing:

• Partner with customers to identify the right mortgage solutions based on their unique goals and financial situations
• Guide applicants through the loan process, ensuring clarity, confidence, and a seamless experience
• Prepare loan proposals and lock competitive rates with investors
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and third parties to move loans efficiently to closing
• Maintain compliance with lending regulations and internal policies
• Build and nurture relationships with referral partners and clients to grow your pipeline
