Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Loss Mitigation Fulfillment Specialist II to maintain timely processing of all administrative aspects of Loss Mitigation workflows, including modifications, deferments, and partial claims. Underwriting, document intake, and recordation are performed per investor guidelines across various jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business/analytical field.
• 2+ years in mortgage servicing or accounting experience.
• Strong mathematical and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Timely creation of accurate financial terms per investor guidelines to produce Modification/Partial Claim/Deferment documents.
• Underwriting to certify approvals for modifications.
• Calculate modification terms per investor rules and waterfalls.
• QC to ensure capitalization and new loan term accuracy.
• Timely intake and documentation of modification/partial claim/deferment documents.
• Coordinate with Cash for booking modifications and ensure system updates.
• Process settlements for modifications and deferments in GSE systems.
• Facilitate GNMA loan buyouts when needed per guidelines.
• Pre-foreclosure reviews to avoid foreclosure per regulatory guidelines.
• Produce Loss Mitigation Certification documents when required for foreclosure actions.
• Pre-sale reviews prior to foreclosure sale and provide documentation.
• Send modification documents for recording and handle county rejections.
• Send recorded collateral documents to custodian and ensure in investor guidelines.
• Review to ensure proper status for in-flight transferred loans.
• Communicate information effectively to others and perform related duties.
