Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years mortgage loan processing experience.
• Knowledge of mortgage underwriting criteria and compliance guidelines.
• Understanding of credit guidelines and ability to read credit reports.
• Basic underwriting knowledge including income calculation and asset review.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review residential loan applications to verify data and compliance.
• Maintain accurate loan status records for reporting and tracking.
• Verify information with employers and credit bureaus.
• Analyze borrower financials to process and underwrite files.
• Order and obtain property abstracts, surveys, appraisals and title work.
• Communicate loan status to borrowers, MLOs, and title company throughout process.
• Submit loan files for underwriting and close once clear to close.
• Maintain organized electronic files and up-to-date guides and forms.
• Provide feedback to management to improve efficiency.
