Job summary

Educational Systems FCU is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Lending team in Maryland.

You will ensure timely processing of first mortgage and equity loan packages, coordinate with underwriters, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate communicates well, manages multiple files efficiently, and delivers exceptional member service, with occasional extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of mortgage loan processing or underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with TRID and compliance standards.
• NMLS registration under SAFE Act.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mortgage process point of contact for members.
• Review loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Monitor deadlines for underwriting decisions and closings.
• Coordinate loan origination and documentation.
• Order appraisals, title work, insurance, and credit reports.
• Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and real estate agents.
• Submit packages to underwriting and respond to conditions.
• Maintain accurate loan files in compliance with regulations.
• Identify issues and escalate appropriately.
• Provide timely updates on loan status.
